anyway, i'll be celebrating my 9th month here sa Globe. I started November 2.
And malapit na ako mag-cutover ng 1st project, astig!

i have two major and one minor project in line pa. and un isa is sobrang astig!

i'm beginning to feel PM work, though i really hate documenting everything. un isang project ko, daig pa si TCWAG (or TC7) sa kapal. Single space pa un at walang mga formula.

nauubos na nga rin pala kami. my officemates are complaining about the salary. outside kasi, our skillset kasi entails us to 3x-4x ng salary namin dito sa globe. pero that is consulting. sige umalis sila at ng maging project manager agad ako hehe.

nakakatawa un isang consultant namin. may ine-enhance kasi sya na program, kaso nag-e-error. may hinahanap na isa pang program. sabi ko wala kaming ganun. hindi daw nya kasalanan yun. later nakita ko na may nawawala lang sya na semi-colon. pahiya na naman sya.

Here's the story.

I never saw it coming. it just came. and just two weeks, after more than a month of interviews and exam, the offer came.

and they made one that i can't refuse.

and it's not about the stuff that you readers are probably thinking right now.

exactly three days after i resigned, all my access to the network: email, internet, database, my network access and all front-end servers were cut off. and in less than one week, i was asked to leave my post. the consequence of transferring to a competitor.

well, transferring all my tasks to my teammates proved to be too difficult.

imagining explaining what is a histogram, a crosstab, or a simple standard deviation to people who despises Stat 101 back in college. worst, explaining what a model does and what it doesn't do.

it was a very good experience though. i can't wait to transfer to my new office and new desk. i'll be missing my officemates and last-minute friends. i'll be missing my 30-year-old-you-would-not-believe officemate. i'll be missing my jobie officemate. i'll be missing my ETL teammates who acquired my taste for green jokes. the report team who lends an ear to me when the people at GSM bitches about their insecurities in life to me. i'll miss the data center people who seems to lost track of dates every now and then, and how much they hate me for reporting every bit of incompetence they make to my boss. i'll miss my desk. my PC.

its not funny when you are not able to meet deadlines. it seems i'm getting inefficient.

after finishing my new ETL mapping for our CDMA source, my supervisor informed me that i should have used the method used by our old ETL mappings. i was caught dumb-footed.

i can't believe na ang nakausap ko sa Chocolate Kiss ay anak ni Cory Aquino, at kapatid ni Kris.

She is an economics professor in UP School of Econ and a consultant for HP. HP happens to be the outsource partner of our company. My point estimate of her age is 43 years old with a standard deviation of 3 years. i forgot her name though :)  her surname yata is Abellana.

wow and she's highly intellectual. We talked about econometrics and how much she hates it, sabi ko naman favorite ko yun kasi magaling prof ko dun. Klasmeyt nga rin nya si Tiepee sa masters.

Nun napag-usapan nga namin sya ng boss ko, its amazing na she still has to work that hard considering na she's rich. all she has to do is stay home or shop. well magaling nga siguro talaga sya and not contented at staying home.

buti na lang hindi ako tsismoso, kung nanay ko siguro yun pinatanong na kung kamusta na si James Yap at si Kris haha.

Makapag-blog muna habang wala pa mga officemates ko, its 7:03 AM.

Kahapon tinanong ako ng boss ko sa akin,

Boss: Joey kamusta ka na
Ako: OK lang po Ma'am
Boss: Sigurado ka ha
Ako: (heard Karen and Tin laughing)

Then after an hour, my boss texted me:

   "Don't be discourage, we'll take their comments constructively"

Napag-usapan nun lunch un incident na yun. well natunugan na pala ng boss ko na i'm severely displeased with the way my project is going and i'm contemplating on resigning already. Mag-text ba naman un taga-GSM group na "... please don't provide stat info....make a business case out of it....".. napangiti naman ako kasi i felt na ayaw ng boss ko na umalis ako, love nya ako hehe.

now it's clear to me na hindi talaga ako un hindi nakaka-intindi sa kanila. ako un asa technical staff and they are the ones in the business area, they have to talk to me how to make a business case out of it and not the other way around. Stat course ko, hindi business administration. at least on my side, and for as long na meron naniniwala na may point ako, i won't give a shit kung ano sabihin ng mga non-technical staff or their superiors.
